    ================================
    Robert E. Lee is one of the most complicated figures of the American Civil War. He served in the Mexican War with the United States Army, and put down John Brown's Raid at Harper's Ferry. However, ultimately he followed his home state of Virginia and joined the Confederacy during the Civil War.
    This book is a good overview of Lee and his life - from his birth and upbringing, to his Civil War service, and concludes with a brief look at his post-war life..
    Not a book for hardcore Civil War enthusiasts, but this would be an excellent book for home schooling or for a teenager interested in the Civil War.
    There is a good mix of photographs and artist sketches that would keep the attention of a young student. It is indexed, so it would be easy for a home teacher to use as well.
    I am offering a similar book on Ulysses S. Grant as well - so check my other listings / auctions if interested !
