    Description

    Back In War Times
    History of the
    144th Regiment, New York
    Volunteer Infantry
    1903
This is a good antique Civil War unit history book. The book is complete and in solid condition with no major problems. In the list of soldiers in the back of the book there is a note written by an Abram L Mace. The list shows Abram Mace as in Company C, enlisting at 18 from Hamden NY. There is also a Charles H Mace listed as a cannoneer in the same company, from the same town and enlisting at 19 just a few days later than Abram Mace in Aug 1862.
The front of the book is inscribed by a H. F. Mace M.D. so this was clearly a family owned copy.
    Very cool book
