    Description

Here is a special historical book called
"A SURVEY OF CIVIL WAR ERA MILITARY SITES IN TENNESSEE"
created by Samuel D. Smith and Benjamin C. Nance in 2003.  This great book includes a "Glossary of Terms for Interpreting Tennessee's Civil War Era Military Sites"  by Fred M. Prouty.
This "one of a kind" book tell us tremendous history during the Civil War with drawing, details, B/W photos and terms related to relate to this part of history, like the word: LUNETTE:  ( The term "lunette" refers to an earthwork that is similar to a redan in appearance and function.  Only 8 were found in Tennessee - image on page 117 - one at Fort Rosecrans in Murfreesboro ).
The image on the front cover is downtown GALLATIN, TENNESSEE drawn by a Union Solider while staying in Gallatin.
***  NOTE:  My images are affected by the light that sneaks in.  But these pages are GREAT !
This book is in EXCELLENT condition and has 266 pages of fantastic history information.  Shipping is .80 to all U. S. States.
